To the newbe's....it may be a question....what is Crysis?
No i am not talking about any economical state or natural disaster...Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter pc game developed by Crytek Frankfurt, published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, and released in November 2007. Crysis uses Microsoft's new API, Direct3D 10 (DirectX 10) for graphics rendering, and includes the same editor that was used by Crytek to create the game. The game runs on a new engine (CryEngine 2) that is the successor to Far Cry's CryEngine. CryEngine 2 is among the first engines to use the Direct3D 10 (DirectX 10) framework of Windows Vista, but can also run using DirectX 9, both on Vista and Windows XP. Roy Taylor, Vice President of Content Relations at NVIDIA, has spoken on the subject of the engine's complexity, stating that Crysis has over a million lines of code, 1 GB of texture data, and 85,000 shaders. Crysis is often used as a benchmark in computer tests, as Crysis at the highest settings and resolutions required processing power from computers that was unfeasible when it was first released. In its time the game was so demanding on previous computer hardware that the catchphrase "Yeah, but can it play Crysis?" was frequently added to graphics card reviews.
To the geeks and freaks,Crysis was a milestone in gameplay and gaming environment or graphics.
Now EA decided to extend their deal with Crytek to publish Crysis 2, due for release on Microsoft Windows, the PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360 in 2010. It is the sequel to the 2007 game.It will be the first game to use the new CryEngine 3 development engine. A one minute teaser was released during Electronic Arts' E3 2009 conference. A trailer was released in the 2009 Game Developers Conference, showing footage from the new CryEngine 3 . On April 9th, a CGI trailer of the game was released, which announced the release date of 'Holiday 2010'
This post contains some more news and a new trailer of Crysis 2.....released worldwide on April 9,2010.
The "Kombo" (360.kombo.com) said that - "Earlier in the week, Kombo and a number of other media outlets were sent to New York City to partake in the festivities of the word premier unveiling of Crysis 2. Since the first game was a PC title, it's probable that not many of you ever played the game, but if you did, you likely remember the mesmerizing graphics. Home console gamers will now be treated to those very same graphics and it's going to be a joyride for all involved. The A.I. is very intelligent this time around and utilizes cover and evasions techniques far more than they did in Crysis. This was further demonstrated when two aliens flanked the player. Instead of being flanked, he met with one of the aliens head-on and began to shoot the gigantic beast with a shotgun and threw a melee attack with the butt of the weapon at him which caused it to step-back and the secondary alien attacked from the player from the side. During the battle with just that one alien, the vision and location of the secondary alien was completely lost. It soon retreated back towards a building, but it wasn't getting away. Several rounds of grenade fire were shot surrounding it, thus leading to its explosive demise. Crytek knows how to make great graphics and after Crysis, no one should ever doubt what this team can create. Despite being early in the development stages, the demonstration looked amazing and was already running beautifully on the Xbox 360 hardware. With the advanced physics engine in place, all the destructible environments gave off a realistic vibe with the way the rocks fell and reacted upon crashing down to the concrete road. Killzone 2 may currently be the best looking FPS, but, based on this footage, it has just been outdone. The city of New York was amazingly rendered so realistically that you'll feel like you are serving mankind and the city is its last saving grace. If you can protect this city, then you can protect the whole world. It's still many months away from completion, but what was shown will impress all shooting fans."
The first teaser trailer of Crysis 2 was -
The trailer released on the worldwide premire was named as "The Wall" trailer. This is a demo trailer of Crysis 2 containing PROBABLY all in-game graphics and shows the new type of aliens.
Here are three more videos on crysis 2,one is "Demo Reel" -
Second is "WireFrame" -
And third one is "Nanosuit Trailer" -
The story - Crysis 2 takes place in a ravaged and destroyed New York City after aliens invade and begin their assault on mankind. Equipped with advanced alien weaponry and intelligence, these aliens are ready to takedown mankind once and for all after failing to do so in Crysis. Everything in New York is consumed by flames and you are the last to fend off these invaders and save the world from the brink of destruction. To properly give you the power necessary to complete this task is the Nanosuit 2, the most advanced piece of technology on the planet.
There are two different looks of the game, one with you battling against Crynet Security, whom are PMC. In this first section they are the bad guys, but the game's story will become far more complex than that and the Crynet story is deep and volatile. The actual gameplay shown here was intense and graphically very rewarding. It opened with your character perched on a building looking at the roofs of the surrounding New York structures. The player then zoomed into Crynet Security PMC members patrolling a rooftop and you hear them talking about your character. Expanding on the abilities found in Crysis, you'll be able to enter a longer invisibility mode this time around for stealth gameplay, and that's exactly what happened here. By going invisible for sneak attacks, the player was able to wait until the moment was right to shoot an enemy or use a sneak melee attack to neutralize the soldier. Of course, we also saw some intense gunning action in this section, too. After exiting the cloaking ability, the player slowly stalked a soldier by watching them walk behind several solar panels and then opened fire, completely destroying the solar panels and the soldier, but this alerted more soldier who were stationed across the way, whom proceeded to fire in you direction. To start off this attack with a bang, one enemy was shooting machine gun round in your vicinity, but the other one shot a rocket, which caused the rock structure to fall apart and forced the player to move to a new location for better protection. This gameplay demonstration utilized all the functions of the Nanosuit 2. Stealth was used, increased armor protection against bullet fire, and sensory to listen in on enemy communication.
The second gameplay section shown had the player battling the alien invaders. This scene opened up with your character being captured and taken away by Crynet. After boarding a helicopter to evacuate the area, a sudden quaking occurs just before the building by your side gets destroyed by an alien attack, thus causing your chopper to crash and leaving you in the middle of an incoming alien attack. What differentiates this building destruction from other games was that the building didn't appear to be static or have a different color palette to it from the rest of the outside world. Although the game was setting up for an attack to occur, everything happened so fast and seamlessly, the destruction of the building looked natural and it kept the whole environment feeling alive as one thing and left you wondering where the attack would be coming from.
Upon waking from the crash, your Nanosuit isn't functional right away and you watch as several massive alien soldiers' approach PMC soldiers on the ground and unleash gunfire on them to be sure they don't survive. A couple of the straggling PMC soldiers made an effort to shoot the aliens with machine guns and a grenade launcher, but it was to no avail. Once again, you are alone and you must fight for your life. As soon as the Nanosuit got up to speed and began to function, the player picked up the grenade launched left behind from the killed PMC soldier. The alien forces then maneuvered their way behind cars for cover from the weapon. The player shoot on the right side of one of the aliens, but it would then run to the left to get away from the blast and explosion. Even when positioning a shot between two enemies, they each scattered away for cover.
The rest....is coming..........
Personally i am really dyng to play this game....what about you?
You know friends...i heard from a secret source....A,S and C are plannig to suicide.....
Why?! Why?! Why?! Cause everybody is calling them "CHICKEN"......!!
Ooops....dont know A,S and C ??
A- Chief Financial Officer of UBI
S - Chief Creative Officer of UBI
C - Executive Director, Worldwide Studios,UBI.
Assasins Creed 2 have been cracked !!! A geek (not mentioning his name due to seurity reason) have made a duplicate server emulator,an offline server emulator of ubi,so we dont even need a crack any more...!! And,the full game for now...not uptoo a number of stages...!!
I dont know what is ubi management doing now..!!
Found a video last day....i think it may help a bit to guess.....just compare HITLAR (In the video) with ubi management team....
I am planning to send "GET WELL SOON" card to ubi management.....i also heard that some of them are in some secret lunatic asylum now....any body know which one ? Plss....give me the address...!!
I admit this post is not all of you friends....only the gamers among you will find it interesting, yah not so sure..may some of you who are not gamers also ....but i have to...fade up about the fucking ubisoft......they made prince of persia a disaster.....and now this.....they are fucking with assasins creed 2 too....!!With their horrible rotten and unnecessary DRM......
Now some of you may ask....What is DRM?
Digital rights management (DRM) is a generic term for access control technologies that can be used by hardware manufacturers, publishers, copyright holders and individuals to impose limitations on the usage of digital content and devices. The term is used to describe any technology that inhibits uses of digital content not desired or intended by the content provider. The term does not generally refer to other forms of copy protection which can be circumvented without modifying the file or device, such as serial numbers or keyfiles. It can also refer to restrictions associated with specific instances of digital works or devices.
In January 2010, Ubisoft announced the Online Services Platform, which forces customers to not only authenticate on the first game launch, but to remain online continually while playing, with the game pausing if the network connection is lost. This makes it impossible to play the game offline, to resell it, and means that should Ubisoft's servers go down, the game will be unplayable. What the fuck they are trying to do??!!
We don’t like DRM, and we’re not the only one.
But The bad news is Ubisoft isn't changing its DRM strategy that shackles gamers to the Internet. The good (????!!!!) news is the company is making peace offerings to PC gamers impacted by the recent server outages that made playing Assassin's Creed 2 near impossible.
Some legitimate gamers had surprising emails from Ubisoft in their inboxes after serious server issues with Ubisoft's f***kng DRM policy, which state:
"Following the recent temporary game server outages which may have cause disruption to some Assassin's Creed 2 players on PC only, we would like to reward your patience if you have experienced any problems by offering you a full downloadable game from the list provided below, completely free of charge."
The email links to a web site where recipients can enter a provided download code. The titles offered are Tom Clancy's Hawx, Heroes Over Europe, Tom Clancy's End War, and Prince of Persia.
"Tom Clancy's Hawx, Heroes Over Europe, Tom Clancy's End War, and Prince of Persia."
Damn... adding insult to injury?
To Ubi composers...they r silly game executives. This is what you get when you listen to a bunch of shithead lawyers in a room, instead of listening to the people who actually pay your salaries...you know, the people who buy your games?
What are they thinking??!!They can stop piracy this way...??!!There was allready a rumor that their server have been cracked by several cracker teams within 24 hrs....dont know true or false....
Lastly i am quoting a customer's comment from a certain forum....
"I will never ever buy anything from Ubisoft, and hope no one will either. They are now in the same “greedy crapheads” boycott list as Microsoft. What is there so hard to understand about that people will buy the game if they really, really like it?? Ubisoft made 155 € million Euros of profit in 2009. Aren’t they happy? Customers should avoid psychopatic corporations."
Ha ha...Who will save you now ubi...from being UBISOFT to UBIFUCKED??
Its exam time....i am in the middle of the semester.Huh...what i am doing now?Really bored friends...so i thought i should share with you the last day experience at exam hall...it was really funny...!!
It is natural that cheating occurs in the xam hall....but in our collage it is not a very common thing yet!!...Nyway...that day was our economics paper....and i was 5 min late in the xam!!...so i was writing my paper in a rush...and so minutely....i was tensioned that i could miss some of the answers...haha. Suddenly a funny incedent caught my attention!!One of our friend was asking some answer from another....that boy was answering him...a normal matter and one...two.....three bingo...the invigiltor noticed it.He was a young lecturer of our collage...i have not noticed him till now...he came and took the paper of the guy.Everybody at a sudden started to watch what is happening....and the incedent i am going to share with you....happened just then.
The boy went to him with a very tensioned face and showing that he was feeling so guilty...."Sir please mera copy wapas kar dijie.....aur aisa nehi hoga" (Sir pls return back my copy...i ll not cheat again....)...nd the invigilator !!!!!!! Suddenly started to dance....jumping with a big abnormal smile in his face,telling... "Nehi nehi.......ekdam nehi...copy toh nehi denge....heh heh heh heh" (No no...i will not return your paper.....heh heh heh heh).....nd even that boy with all of us......exclaimed a hell..!!!That boy stepped backward a little....(after exam he told me that he thought the invigilator became mad and is going to bite him...!!!!!)
Anyway.....invigilator was so kind and gave him back his copy....but i have noticed a real memorable and funny incident of my life...!!Really fellas....i have not watched a invigilator behaving like this....even after finding a cheater in exam hall...have you??
First of all i am going to admit here that this story is not mine actually.I heard this from one of my friend...and modifying it as a story, hope you will enjoy it well.
We...specially almost all the regular Indians have heard the famous dialogue "Ek machhar....bla bla bla (censored)"..the gist is - "One mosquito can make a person even behave like a impotent...a man without his balls." But my story is going prove that this statement is totally a mistake,a goof of all time.
The incident i am going to describe here is a incident of a local train and believe me i am not faking it.That day my friend was traveling as he regularly does,he was on his way to home,in a local train. And as a very normal thing, some hawkers was there. He noticed a "Chanawala"...who actually finished his sell and was sitting at a corner. The train came a station and a "Mawali" type person entered,he took his seat just beside that chanawala.Yet the poor chanawala almost finished his trade, there was some packet left and after some time, that bully (Mawali)...say we name him as "Bhai" (This word actually describes the don type persons..haha),took one packet from the chanawala, say we named him "Chandu".He finished that, and then one again....and then another one.Now he told Chandu..."Oi sala....sore bos" (Language is in bengalee....it means..."Hey asshole, cant u move ur ass a bit from here?")
Poor Chandu..!!He did as he was instructed, and the Bhai....told him...."Oi...arekta packet de" (Give me some more of ur fucking chana).Chandu told..."Dada (Sir)...u have all ready took some, its my business.....how can i give you free?"
You can say...this is a reflection of our super frustrated mind.U may...no u sure have meet people called idiots...yah real idiots.People knows nothing but faking like they r scholars....rite?U have found these people in school...may be in class, park, parties,or even.....specially in social online forums....like orkut communities, face book groups or pages,my space....etc etc.Sometimes u cant say nything to them rite that time cause they r ur frnds,or elders or teachers,or sometime cause they r such morons if u even say them what u r feeling about...or try to correct them....they will behave like more idiots....n now u want to kill him/her.
Friends cmon...share ur experiences like this with each other, show ur anger....yah it is not necessary u have to mention the name of the person...but yes...u can if u want...comment ur thaught...i am sure it gonna be a gr8 fun...haha.
This was our paper on Ramdeobaba collage at their colg fest.I and my friend Arindam maid this...as a first post i like to share it.....may some of you have all ready read this on Arindam's blog.
Motivation : - Our paper is regarding the implementation of 3D modeling software in the education field, especially in the field of engineering. We know about the use of special effects and 3D modeling in basically gaming industries and movies, actually till now the use of Animating and modeling software are too technical, but we thought to use it in regular study life and technical education .Now here comes the main question….what is 3d Modeling? Incomputer graphics, 3D modeling is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any three-dimensional surface of object (either inanimate or living) via specialized software. The Software used are basically Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3DS Max, Blender, Cinema4D, etc.
The product is called a 3D model. It can be displayed as a two-dimensional image through a process called 3D rendering or used in a computer simulation of physical phenomena. The model can also be physically created using 3D Printing devices.
Models may be created automatically or manually. The manual modeling process of preparing geometric data for 3D computer graphics is similar to plastic arts such as sculpting.
Thus we can create realistic models of anything, any real or even virtual object, animal, and plant, anything actually……regarding our imagination.
Statement:-
What are the basic subjects we do fear in technical education ?Mathematics ,Mechanics ,Electrical engineering ,Physics ,honestly if we tell….everything .No ,it is not a matter of laugh ,different students allergic to different subject .I was in case of Engineering Drawing in 1st year .But by the help of 3D Modeling…we can represent a very clear idea to students about the subject matters .What is the reason to fear subjects ? Actually if we can’t understand a subject ,we got less interested in it .And it is true that these subjects like Mechanics or Physics ,or Engineering Drawing etc consists of different types of abstract ideas…like different leavers or machinery concepts in Mechanics ,Isometric models in E.D ,Top view, Front View ,Side View etc…models and working of Neutron ,Proton ,Electron and their orbits in Physics etc. But through the help of 3D Modeling we can create their clear cut models to present in front of the students. We already know the use of “models” regarding our subjects…be it engineering drawing….or life science…or geometry…or physics….but those sometimes makes it more boring or confusing .We can use the modeling software here….to make some interesting models…..to make subjects easy and interesting, cause the use of the modeling software will make the model “alive” .Even we can present animation of the working of the models depending upon the subject matter to make it more interesting. Students will find it very interesting and easy to understand if the machines they are studying are not simply diagrams in book but a realistic 3d model which can show them exactly how the internal parts are connected or how the machine actually works. All the electron-proton collisions and diffraction etc can be shown to them as if they are happening right in front of their eyes. This way physics or math will become much more interesting and lucid to all the students.
This use of modeling software will have another effect .Also in this way we can make the animating software more popular and the 3D modelers can find a solution around their job…where in India it is really hard to find some for them…till now !But in case of other countries…just see their opportunities.
THE NEED FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL REPRESENTATION:-
Messner et al (2003) point out “observing and experimenting with the building construction process” is very important but “it is difficult to provide this opportunity to the students in an educational setting”. With 3D, 4D and VR visualizations “students can experiment with different ‘what-if’ scenarios and actively discover unique solutions to construction planning challenges” (Messner et al, 2003). As Mantovani (2003) indicates “the point is no more to establish whether VR is useful or not for education; the focus is instead on understanding how to design and use VR to support the learning process”. The authors believe that 3D modeling and VR technology can be useful in built environment education in order to:
1. Prototype buildings, sites and cities
2. Demonstrate features and processes involved in built environment subjects more specifically
3. Allow users to observe and interact with the buildings, designs, concepts in their entirety or as partial close-up views. It also allows easy changeover between these different views.
4. Provide motivation and make learning experiences more interesting
5. Allow users to experience a sense of immersiveness in the buildings, designs and concepts
6. Offer an alternative when site visits etc are costly and hard to arrange because of health and safety issues.
Virtual Reality can be used when teaching using the real thing is dangerous, impossible, inconvenient, too time-consuming or too costly (Pantelidis, 1997). In order to establish a shared understanding of the built environment between diverse professions, different representations of the real world, such as sketches, scale models, drawings, photomontages etc are being used and built environment students are made familiar with these techniques. However it is also imperative that students should have some knowledge of new, emerging technologies appropriate to their subject discipline in order to extend their understanding of the built environment (Horne and Thompson, 2007).
Architectural technology design project:-
Final year students of Architectural Technology have to ensure optimum building performance and efficiency and have a specific need to resolve both technical and design issues. Students applied their knowledge of Virtual Reality, both theory and practice, to interact with their designs in a way that had not been possible previously. They programmed behaviors into their models which enabled the exploration of external and internal cladding options, movement of doors, vehicles, elevators etc and simulation of air flow. Such behaviors provided the perception of immersiveness when navigating around the models using stereoscopic projection in the Virtual Environment.
Approach:- The thought came from our regular student life……we have already studied the thinking of the students from nursery to pre or post graduate in various courses….and we all know about the use of perfect example regarding a topic…which can make it easy to understand and enjoyable .We have also inspired from the use of Interactive 3D Modeling at the Institute of Technical Education in Singapore .EON Reality, the world's leading interactive 3D software provider, provides virtual reality software to the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in Singapore. Mr. Sridhar Sunkad, managing director at EON Reality's R&D Singapore said that – “Providing new ways for today's learner to be actively engaged in the learning experience has become more necessary in a rapidly-changing environment”.
He also said - “But we also see a growing need to provide cost effective incorporated training environments for the industry, stakeholders and customers to provide cost effective incorporated training environments based on virtual reality solutions.”
METHODOLOGY:-
This paper presents data that was gathered from a research project designed to further VR integration in the School of the Built Environment, Northumbria University. A strategic, systematic approach was adopted to raise awareness of VR technologies in the school. A series of staff development events were held in the school’s semi-immersive Virtual Environment and staff were informed about different types of VR and potential applications for the built environment. Academic staffs were encouraged to propose further ideas and suggestions for the integration of three dimensional modeling and VR into their teaching and learning, and all suggestions were recorded into a relational database. Forty-four projects were developed for staff across the school, and twelve of these were selected for analysis in this study. The method of selection focused on examples of academic practice where three-dimensional modeling and VR were being used to extend traditional forms of representation and enhance the students’ learning experience. Projects were developed using commercially available 3D-modelling and VR software. Qualitative research methods were seen as the most suitable way of collecting, analyzing and reporting data for this study in order to understand the attitudes perceptions, opinions and concerns of academic staff in regards to use of 3D and VR technologies in their teaching. A total of 11 semi-structured interviews were conducted with key participants involved in the integration of 3D technologies into the built environment curriculum. Each interview lasted one hour and was audio-taped to facilitate data analysis. The interviews were then transcribed and analyzed. The interview questions were designed to gather data systematically, although it should also be acknowledged that the researchers’ experiences, thoughts and beliefs inevitably played a part in the final analysis. We can easily follow these kinds of methods to plot the idea of using VR and 3D modeling in technical education in India.
Goals:-
1. To make technical education simpler and more interesting.
2. To make students actually understand what is happening instead of cramming up the topics.
3. Solve the unemployment problem of 3d animators in India by giving them jobs in colleges as the modeling experts.
4. To make India’s future brighter by making the students more technically and logically advanced.
Well, this is the first post to my blog, and i am a bit formal in case of starting anything. So first of all,i think i should introduce myself.I wrote a small about me for my facebook account, and did for my orkut too . I am gonna use some of that here,to describe my "Super in-humanistic" nature. Some call me a "Hypocrite"and a hypocrite should not write about himself....cause as you all know...anything he says..actually he does not means or posses...
But what is the perfect definition of a Hypocrite?Means i know...i am a bit different from others...some may call me "unsocial"...some call "short tempered"...some call "mad","addict",overconfident "fool".And it is hard to say, really i am confused about myself !! Means....what i am? The answer is tough for me , I think it is for all of us , yet they have something to say about , something to describe...something to clarify , but my mind leads me to the ultimate opacity here.
So what's this blog about ? No , i cant decide . I am going to post my thoughts , my writings , my works , my opinions here . You can say ,"I am going to CLARIFY myself ?"...or more properly , to find myself.
Dear visitor, you may wonder that what's this blog about....!! More preciously,i cant decide that...!! I am going to post my thoughts , my writings , my works , my opinions, depending on my fields of interests. You can say ,"I am going to CLARIFY myself ?!"...or more properly , to find myself.
